Founded in 1407, Oswestry is one of the oldest schools in the country and stands on the edge of the attractive market town of Oswestry, on the border of England and Wales. The school is set in fifty acres of its own grounds and is surrounded by some of the most beautiful countryside in England.
Historical it may be, with many traditional virtues encouraged, but Oswestry is also a warm, caring and progressive school which constantly evolves with the times. Oswestry delivers fully rounded education essential for a route map to life, with both an encouraging and stimulating environment for all its students. At Oswestry we strive to educate our students with an emphasis on their intellectual, spiritual and physical development.
We are extremely proud of the 360° education we provide, achieving excellent academic results and offering a wide variety of sports. Teaching of the highest standard takes places in classrooms benefiting from the latest technology, only last year the science department was renovated and now provides a modern suite of six science laboratories.
Boarding accommodation was modernised during 2017 and along with the experienced and kind staff provide a safe, nurturing and kind environment for overseas and UK students. In addition, a Chinese guardian fluent in both Cantonese and Mandarin is available. A wealth of activities, trips and expeditions also play a central role in broadening our students experience.
